Hello Friends!
I hope your 2025 is off to a good start, and I wanted to give you an update about what I’m writing and the serials coming your way at Tell Me a Mystery.
Right now, I’m serializing the 5th book in my cozy mystery series Fit Girls. If you haven’t started it yet, it’s a fun, clean mystery and the first 3 installments are out. Here’s a LINK to the start. It’s called Fit Girls: Snowmen are Murder.
I’m also working on the next storylines for The Harvey Girl and The Time Witch. I did re-write and release The Harvey Girl: Fool’s Treasure on Amazon as a paperback and Kindle. I added point-of-view chapters for Finn & Dori, so it’s a bit different than the original, but in a good way.
For Harvey Girl, I found a Harvey House that has been turned into a B&B and museum! I’m taking a research trip to visit it next week. Am I excited??? You bet! I plan to take a ton of pictures, ask the staff too many questions and soak up the Harvey Girl atmosphere in my B&B room. Plus, I’ll be plotting the next several storylines while I’m there. I will be sharing some pictures next week!
For Time Witch, I promised to kick it off in January, but I’m still rewriting the first series, so I’m hoping to release new installments at the end of February. By going through the first serialized storyline, I get to clean it up but look for little nuggets to show me where the story goes next—and I’ve found some cool ones. It’s amazing what I’ve hidden in the story without even knowing it. There’s one line that Samuel says to Evangeline: “Take caution to heart. Baxter Creek is home to many an oddity. I know that a coven is only one of them.” It got me thinking… what other oddities are in Baxter Creek? So in addition to Evangeline needing to find her parents, who are still trapped in the locket, some of Baxter Creek’s ‘oddities’ will come out to play. Of course, I need a little time to plot and write enough of the story, before I can kickoff the next series.
I’m also working on a new audio drama called Stalking Hitchcock. So, my plate is full and that’s a good thing. For now, enjoy the Fit Girls and the other characters you’ve grown to love will be back in the near future. Thanks for joining me on this journey!
So much good stuff! And you didn't even mention the "2x2" live events you sparked!
I want to hear more about Harvey Girl! I researched the Harvey House restaurants and the Harvey Girls for my Galliano Club thrillers. Such an interesting corner of history!
