In case you missed the fanfare, I stayed up late on New Year’s Eve to proof and complete the editing for The Harvey Girl. After 8 months of serializing the first storyline, I edited the whole historical fiction mystery, smoothing out some bumps and adding a few point-of-view chapters from Finn & Dori. So, the book version is 2.0 for this tale and has transformed from a serial into a book titled The Harvey Girl: Fool’s Treasure! (You can find it on Amazon as a paperback & a Kindle.)
I also turned the AI-generated artwork into something I felt good about using and found Amanda, a fantastic human artist on Fiverr, where she’s listed as GhostDX. She was able to take my AI artwork and create something that matched it but sooooo much better. (I’m also using her for The Time Witch!) Here’s what the cover looks like:
It’s so fun to see this story come to life! I’m currently researching the next one! I even went to Lubbock, Texas, and stayed at a Harvey House B&B! It is a living museum, and I could feel the history. (I hoped to be visited by a ghost or two, but no luck.) Great vibes all around, and I had the run of the place! I even went Live from the location with a video tour on Substack. WATCH the Harvey House TOUR. I’ve got two ideas for the next installments in the Harvey Girl series, so Willa, Finn & Dori will be back soon!
Thank you so much for coming on this journey with me!
Just nabbed a copy!
Congrats! I'm a Texas guy and one of my daughters graduated from Texas Tech. I know that place. Never went in but drove past it many times. Very interesting and an enjoyable read. - Jim
